Asantewaa Β· your guide in Ghana

Come see Ghana with me.

I don't run tour buses. I run journeys. The kind where you taste kelewele from my favourite street seller, sit with your ancestors at Cape Coast, and leave Ghana with stories you'll tell for the rest of your life.

About Asantewaa

A Ghana you can feel.

My name is Asantewaa, and I've been walking people through my country for over a decade. I got into this work because every time a friend visited, I'd spend the whole week in the car with them anyway. Eventually someone said, "you should charge for this."

Most of my guests are from the diaspora β€” returning for the first time, often. I take that seriously. The pace is yours. The plan is yours. I just make sure everything works, and that you see the Ghana you came to see.

I'll pick you up from the airport. I'll know the best place for jollof in whatever town we're in. I'll cry with you at Cape Coast if you need me to. That's the job.

Why Ghana

A country that stays with you.

Ghana is not just a destination. For many visitors β€” especially those from the diaspora β€” it is a reckoning, a homecoming, and a joy.

Plan your trip

When to come to Ghana.

There is no bad time to visit β€” but there is a right time for you. Here is what each season actually feels like on the ground.

β˜€οΈ

Nov β€” Mar

Peak season

Dry, sunny, and perfect for outdoor tours. Cape Coast, waterfalls, and hikes are at their best. Book early β€” this is when most diaspora travellers come home.

🌿

Apr β€” Jun

Shoulder season

Light rains begin. The landscape turns vivid green. Fewer tourists, lower prices, and a quieter, more intimate Ghana. Waterfalls are more dramatic.

🌧️

Jul β€” Sep

Rainy season

Heavy rains in the south but the north stays dry. Lowest prices, emptiest sites. Great for adventurous travellers who want Ghana all to themselves.

πŸ‚

Oct

Transition

Rains taper off. A good shoulder option β€” the country is still green from the rains but the sun is returning. Quiet and affordable.

From Cape Coast to Aburi, she handled everything. We just showed up and experienced it. 10/10 would travel with her again.

"
She does not just show you Ghana β€” she introduces you to it. Warm, funny, incredibly knowledgeable.
